If you choose the Death Match mode, instead of killing zombies, you are aiming to kill one another. If you are playing in these two player modes, here are the controls you need to know about, so you can control your avatars properly:

Player 1 moves with the Arrows, '/' for shooting or using items, '.' and ',' to change weapons.
Player 2 moves with the WASD keys, space to shoot, E and Q to change weapons.
