Use the mouse to swap jewels between one another, with the condition that they are adjacent, which means next to one another, and that swap is only possible and happens if by doing it you create a row of three or more identical jewels, with the lines being valid both horizontally and vertically.
When that happens, the jewels get eliminated, you get points in return, and if you reach your goal you finish the level, and the fewer moves you make to achieve it, the better, so aim to match in a smart way, not necessarily many times.
