Playing in either the story mode or free play mode, with the choice being yours, gives you the same goal, which is reaching the end of the songs by playing their notes according to the charts.

To do it, press arrow keys at the same time as the identical arrow symbols match above BF's head but be careful not to miss doing it multiple times in a row, or you lose and have to start again from scratch. Enjoy, and good luck!
