There are many animals in the forest that need help in various ways, and you and the cat will give it to them, starting off with the squirrel, for whom you need to collect a total of four acorns.

To do it, use the arrow keys for moving, and space for jumping, and go around the forest, collecting them, while being weary of any traps and obstacles you might encounter along the way.
