The bubbles will have pets on them, each of a different kind, and from the bottom of the screen, you use the cannon to shoot at them, doing so in order to hit or create groups of at least three identical pet bubbles, and upon doing so, removing them from the screen and earning points.

The more you can hit and blow up in one hit, the better for you, but make sure you are not letting the bubbles stack down to the bottom of the screen because if that happens, you lose and need to start that level again from scratch.
