In either mode you are playing, to win you need to reach the end of the songs, and to do that you need to hit your notes according to the charts. This means that when you see arrow symbols match above BF's head, that is when you press the identical arrow keys to hit your notes.

Be careful about missing notes, because if it happens multiple times in a row, you lose and have to start again from scratch. Good luck, enjoy!
