You will have two opponents controlled by the computer that you are racing against, and to take speed and get ahead of them you have to alternatively and repeatedly press the Z and X keys to get speed and always race ahead. Start off by choosing which of the six characters you want to be:

Keroppi
Monkichi
Badtz
Mimmy
