Whether you're playing in the story mode or free play mode, which you choose from the main menu, to win you have to do the same thing, which is hit your notes according to the charts until the end of the song, which is when you win.

To do it, press arrow keys at the same time as the identical arrow symbols match above BF but know that if you miss doing it too many times in a row you lose. Good luck, enjoy!
