After making a choice between playing in the story mode or free play mode, know that in both cases, you only win if you reach the end of the songs, something that is done by hitting your notes according to the charts until that point.

So, press arrow keys at the same time as the identical arrow symbols match on the right. If you miss doing it too many times in a row, you lose and have to start again from scratch. Enjoy!
