It has 108 chapters were collected and published in 12 volumes of books and comics of the anime and manga series. The first Japanese series of the Death Note has aired in 2006 to 2007, and it had 37 episodes. Like any other manga series, you can see that it had a lot more other episodes and seasons, because as most as you know, the manga or anime series are long and last years after years.
