The game sort of works like a tower defense game, but instead of placing turrets alongside a path, you will control a stickman shooter on top of the base, and use the mouse to aim and shoot at the waves of impostors and enemies running towards your headquarters.
The base also has integrated weapons in it, which you should upgrade using the money you earn after successfully defeating each wave of enemies.
You should also upgrade the stats and weapons of your stickman character because every new wave you have to defeat is stronger than the one before it, so you have to become better too.
