Make your choice of character you want to play as, as well as the mod you are playing in from the main menu, and then, in either case, strive to reach the end of the songs by playing your notes according to the charts, which is how you win.
How do you do it? Simple, when you see arrow symbols float and match above your character's head, that is when you have to press the identical arrow keys to hit your notes.
