The running part of the adventure is done automatically by Dora, you need to help her jump which you do by clicking the left mouse button. Jump over:

If you fall or get stuck, you lose and have to restart. Instead, make a big distance forward through each level, and collect the stars.

stars represent your score, so the more pink stars you collect, the bigger your score becomes.

Find Boots! Boots, when you encounter him, gives you the chance to make a super jump. Jump really high and get even more stars from above in the air!
