When you find at least two identical tiles that are also adjacent, which means they're next to one another, tap on them both to have them connected and then eliminated, simple as that.
Make sure to eliminate all the tiles before the progress bar on the right completely empties out, because if that happens, you lose, but it grows back slower when you're doing matches.
You can use up to six hints per game, and you can shuffle the tiles around three times if you think that will be beneficial for you. Try using these helplines only when really necessary.
