The original Super Mario game has now had a Flash remake made, and you can play it here for free! Run, jump, save the princess from Bowser!
Help Mario go from world to world, level to level, and win all the stages. At the end of them all, he has to fight Bowser to rescue the princess Peach that he kidnapped at his castle. Along the way, collect coins, use mushrooms for improved skills, and solve puzzles to continue your adventure!
Move Mario with the right and left arrow keys. Press X to jump. Press Z to shoot (if you have the power-up).
As you proceed through the levels, hit the bricks with question marks on them with your head, and get the coins out of them. Collect coins out from the open as well. The more you have, the bigger your score.
Hit the bricks to destroy them for bonus points!
There will be koopas, turtles, and other monsters to avoid. If you want to defeat them, you can jump on top of their heads to stomp them. If you get hit by them too much, and lose three lives, you lose the game.
Avoid falling into the pits between the segments of land, or hitting into spikes, or any other kinds of traps that might appear. If it seems dangerous, it probably is, like lava!
Mushrooms give you much-needed power-ups and abilities. They make you grow bigger, some give you extra lives, and some give you the ability to shoot down monsters by throwing fireballs. Take them when they appear, usually from the bricks you hit.
You play each level against time! Do your best to complete it before you run out of seconds, and all the remaining time gets converted to points, so if you are fast, you earn yourselves a big bonus.
