Who remembers the original Super Smash Bros. on the Nintendo 64? So many memories of holding the unique controller and spending weekends with a smaller roster of our favorite characters as we played with our friends. Now that we are all grown up, those times do not have to be good memories. The game is still playable in Super Smash Flash 2 on Play-Games.
Super Smash Flash 2 brings everything you have remembered from the old game from the comfort of your computer. Now, you can play the game you remember with very similar controls. Since it would be a hardware hassle to configure setting up an old N64 controller, you must use a mouse and keyboard to play.
The directional arrows are the D-pad controls for the game and the WASD keys control your abilities. Of course, you can change the controller presets in the settings.
When you open the main menu of Super Smash Flash 2, you will see a familiar menu that has:
● 1P Mode
● VS Mode
● Options
● Data
● Settings
If it has been a while since you have played the original Smash, then you should start with 1P mode. Open 1P mode to see the different modes you can play. Playing through the classing should bring back a lot of memories.
The characters from the original game are still there in Super Smash Flash 2. There’s:
● Dr. Mario
● Mario
● Luigi
● Donkey Kong
● Adult Link
● Samus
● Captain Falcon
● Ganondorf
● Young Link
● Ness
● Yoshi
● Kirby
● Fox
● Pikachu
● Jigglypuff
● Falco
● Dark Samus
● Lucas
● Etc.
There are also the four characters you would need to unlock by playing through the game. The single player's experience is still intact. You battle increasingly stronger enemies until you clear your way to defeating Master Hand.
Here is a refresher course on some of the tips to follow for Super Smash Flash 2:
● Do not worry about maximizing your score yet. You do get a score at the end of your match but focus on the mechanics first. You do not want to try to get a perfect score against your opponent, only to make a critical error that sends you over the edge.
● Going off the edge is not a bad thing. If you have a way to jump back on, you can use the extra space to your advantage. Try to lure your opponent off the edge and smash them down while jumping back to safety.
It is time to relive your childhood while smashing your opponents!
How to play?
