Simply click or tap when the pirates appear out of the windows or around the deck of the ship so that you shoot them down with bombs, and make sure to click on the reload button when you run out of ammunition. Click on bombs, treasures, and other upgrades when you can, to collect them, such as new lives.

You can lose lives if you waste time and the pirates shoot back at you with cannons. For all the pirates you defeat you earn points, but make sure to avoid shooting the ladies, as they are hostages, and doing so makes you lose lives.
