If you don't have other options, you can play the 1P mode where you fight against the computer, but we definitely recommend that you check out the 2P Co-Op mode and the 1P Vs 2P modes if you've got a friend, sibling, or family member you can play with.
All the modes feature a straight-up tournament-style fight, where each player tries their best to defeat the other one, which happens when you have managed to deplete their health bar completely, so make sure that does not happen to you instead.
One player will use the W, A, S, D keys for movement and jumping, and the I, J keys for attacking, while Player 2 will use the arrow keys, and the 1, 2 keys for the same actions.
Pick your favorite DBZ character to become, and then fight to the death, trying your best all the time so that you come up on top, becoming the game's winner!
