The third Sonic game in the series introduced Knuckles, another character from the home planet of our blue hedgehog, which started off as a rival and eventually ended up as a friend, and you now get to have tons of fun with the two of them by playing Sonic 3 game online, directly from your browser and free of charge, without needing any emulator, since we've got you covered on that front!
The story and the challenges you undertake follow the classic Sonic Games format, which is you have to finish courses by reaching their finish line, and along the way you face off against robots and aliens, having to defeat them without letting them touch you, or you lose.
As you progress through the courses, you also need to collect rings for a score, so try getting as many of them as possible, while also being on the lookout for any power-ups and bonus items you might find.
You can play by yourself and become either Sonic or Knuckles, or you've got the 2P mode known as Competition, where you take part in races between one another, with the two characters that are in the game's title.
