As with any other idle construction game, before you can build anything, you need the resources for it, so you will hold and move on the builder stickman and move him through the map, where you cut down trees, collect the rocks, and anything else you can.
Go with them to the factory, where they are exchanged for money, and with money, and sometimes the resources themselves, you will build new houses, factories, and other facilities and structures.
Use all the resources and money you have to always keep expanding your town, which will start producing money by itself, as idle clicker games are about that, and you might even get to spawn new stickmen to do the work for you.
