The pinball course is set on a beach that goes into the forest, where there are tons of trees, targets, bushes, and other things for you to hit with the bears that are going to roll up into a ball for you to shoot them. The more things you hit, the bigger your score becomes.
When they come down and are about to fall into the water, use the flappers with the right and left arrow keys to prevent them from doing that, but instead send them back and make even more points. When they sink, play again, and each time you do it, try scoring more points than previously.
