Hitbox.io is an Io multiplayer game with a minimalistic design, with boxes, triangles, and circles, where you compete with other players in an arena!

Let's play hitbox.io online!

Control a small square and face off against other squared enemies in the arena. Defeat the NPC enemies as well, and be careful of various traps and dangers laid out for you. Being fast on your feet, having good tactics, and taking the right decisions will put you above the other players! Which mode will you choose?

Sweaty Bois

up to four players get into the arena;
there is no respawning: you die, you lose;
the final one standing in the arena wins;

Team Madness

you will belong to a team, and multiple big teams compete against one another;
you respawn instantly if you die;
it's a good mode to try if you are a new player and want to practice your skills;

How to move:

use the right and left arrow keys for movement;
press up to jump;
press up while in the air to double jump (your triangle icon is yellow if double jumping is available)
you can also jump on walls to get ahead;

How to kill your enemies:

Jumping on top of them is the easiest method.
Try to push them hard into nearby objects (hold X).
Hit them (by pressing C).
Shoot them with rockets (with the Z key).

Other techniques to use:

hold V next to objects to grab onto them;
combine these different abilities to create interesting effects;
try to push other things around, in addition to the other players;
smashing the enemies into the red zones;
try to use bats and rockets when they appear to kill your enemies

Avoid the color red!

This is very important: platforms that have a red sheet of color around them are dangerous. Hitting them means dying. You also die if you fall in holes.

Quick Play to get straight into the action of it all.
Custom Game to make a room and set your own rules.
Training Hall to hone your skills.

How to win at hitbox.io:

Smash and push enemies around. Hit them! Survive for as long as possible! Be the last box standing! Try to grab power-ups and tools to use against your foes. Avoid getting pushed around by rivals. Survive to the end of each arena battle!
