Start off in the Green Hill Zone, and continue with other maps after completing this one, as you give your best to reach the end of the courses, and by the end of them, try your best to collect as many rings as possible to get a big score in return. Use the arrow keys for moving, and Z to jump and roll, the trademark move of the blue hedgehog.

As you advance, make sure to avoid falling into the pits, spikes, and other traps and obstacles, such as the metallic creatures sent by Dr. Eggman, since they are enemies, and if you hit into these dangers too many times you lose all your lives and the game, in addition to losing some of your coins.
