Whether you are playing in the story mode or free play mode, winning is achieved in the same way, by reaching the end of the songs, and to do that you need to keep hitting your notes according to the charts until that point.

So, when you see floating arrow symbols match above the character to the right, Boyfriend, that is when you press the identical arrow keys to hit your notes.

Don't press the wrong keys, or the right ones too early or too late, since that is how you miss notes, and if you miss too many notes in a row, you lose and have to start again from scratch. Good luck, enjoy!
