Sonic 1: Contemporary, as the title might suggest, is a modern remake of the classic Sonic game for Sega consoles, which really took the world of gaming by surprise and created one of the most iconic video game characters in history, and you are now invited to revisit the classic story in a revamped way, with our team having played both versions, and we can tell you this one is just as good as the first one. Precisely because we did, we can now show you what to do, so allow us to do just that!
Green Hill Zone is the map of the First Act, where you need to reach the end, getting past all the obstacles, traps, and enemies. Avoid spikes, and when you see the mechanical fish, flies, and other creatures, in the air, in the water, or on the ground, avoid them, or defeat them by bumping on top of their heads, because they have been sent out by Dr. Eggman to stop you.
Defeating creatures allows you to get extra points, but the main bulk of your score will be gained if you collect the rings along the way, both on the floor and in the air, and you might have to use springboards, tunnels, loops, and other devices and pathways from the map to reach them. Avoid falling into the pits, and look out for any other kinds of dangers that appear.
Move using the arrows, roll with Z. Getting the gems is the ultimate prize since they are magical items from Sonic's planet, and they need to be in your good hands, not in the hands of evil. Start this side-scroller adventure right now, you won't regret it, and we hope to see you around for more of it to come!
How to play?
