In the story mode, you play through one song and another in the order given by the narrative, while in the free play mode, you can choose any of the songs to play through at your own pace and rhythm.
Among the characters you battle here, we've got Pomni, Cain, Bonbon & Chuch, Jax, or Ragatha.
To win in any of them you need to reach the end of the songs, something you can do by hitting notes according to the charts until the song ends. So, when you see the floating arrow symbols match above BF, press the identical arrow keys to hit your notes.
Know that if you miss your notes too many times in a row, and your health bar depletes because of that, you lose and have to start all over again from scratch. Good luck, enjoy, and stick around!
