How to play Pokemon HeartGold
With your character, try to become the best trainer in the Johto and Kanto regions featured in the game! Catch wild Pokemon and add them to your team! Battle with the Pokemon to grow them stronger! Battle other trainers to gain experience in fighting! Defeat the Gym Trainers and catch the Legendary Pokemon before Team Rocket can do so!
Use the arrow keys for moving, and use Z and X for interaction. The handheld controls are also adapted for mobile users!
Choose your starter Pokemon!
After you meet Professor Elm, he gives you three pocket monsters to pick from to begin your adventure:
- Chikorita
- Cyndaquil
- Totodile
Catch wild Pokemon!
The more diverse your team of monsters is, the more chances you have to defeat the trainers. Battle the wild monsters that you encounter in grass, on mountains, on lakes, or in other locations in this universe.
When you weaken the monsters enough, you can throw Pokeballs at them to catch them. Stronger monsters will require you to throw multiple balls, so buy enough of them from the store!
Turn-based fighting has never been easier!
When battling the trainers, each of you goes in turns when attacking. Choose your attack move, and then they use their own attack move. The match takes place until one monster gets defeated. Defeat the opposing monster by depleting them of their health bar first!
Complete the Pokedex!
Aim to explore enough of the regions to encounter as many monsters as possible to add to the database you are trying to complete to help Professor Oak.
Take down Team Rocket!
The classic antagonists have returned. When you encounter them, defeat them in battles, and stop their evil plans!

Only played Pokémon Red (original on Gameboy back in the day) Pokémon Yellow Pika Edition, Pokémon Fire red - I am excited to explore further what other games have to offer, saw online this was one of the best. Game saves / loads and runs smooth, only issue I find is the battle or top screen is a little smaller then the bottom screen, possibly if you can flipped it around so the action is bigger rather then the menu. This might be beyond your control though since thats how the DS set it up.

Game not letting me "export save file" to my local drive....only way to save is through the browser. please fix this
