Whether you are playing in the story mode or free play mode, the only way to win is by reaching the end of the songs, which is done by playing all their notes according to the charts, in both cases.
So, as the song progresses, when you see arrow symbols matching above BF's head, you need to press the identical arrow keys, but know that if you miss doing that multiple times in a row, you lose the game and have to start it again from scratch. Enjoy!
