Finn and Mordecai were roasting Steven outside the CN HQ, which is why you now have to help Steven win against them in a rhythm battle, not a roast battle, something you will do on three amazing original songs:

• Crybaby (Joke)
• Final Destination (Cover)

Whether playing in the story mode or free play mode is your choice, and in either case, winning is achieved in the same way, by reaching the end of the songs.

How do you do that? You hit notes according to the charts, which you do by pressing arrow keys at the same time as the identical arrow symbols match above BF's head.
